Chattanooga, TN (September 4, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision in Chattanooga caused injuries and damaged a nearby fire hydrant on Thursday morning, September 4. 

The accident happened at approximately 10:16 a.m. near the intersection of Williams Road and Albert Lane, close to Hixson Pike. Emergency crews reported that a 21-year-old man suffered an arm injury during the crash. Paramedics treated him on-site and later arranged for further medical evaluation to ensure his injuries received proper care.

Both vehicles involved sustained damage in the crash. In addition, the impact knocked over and damaged a nearby fire hydrant, creating an additional hazard at the scene. Firefighters and utility crews responded to manage the hydrant damage while police directed traffic and kept the area secure.

Authorities have not released details on what caused the accident or confirmed whether any citations will be issued. 

Investigators with the Chattanooga Police Department are reviewing the scene and gathering witness statements to determine the sequence of events leading to the crash.

The collision temporarily slowed traffic in the area as emergency personnel worked to assist the injured victim and clear the roadway. The investigation remains ongoing.
