Cleveland, TN (January 7, 2026) – One person was injured on Tuesday after a five-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Bradley County. The crash happened on Tuesday, January 6, near mile marker 24 along the southbound lanes of I-75.
Emergency units responded to the scene after reports of a major multi-vehicle crash. When crews arrived, they found several damaged vehicles and one person trapped inside a car. Responders worked quickly to reach the injured person and remove them safely.
The Cleveland Fire Department extricated the injured individual from the vehicle and provided immediate care at the scene. The patient was then taken to a local hospital for treatment. Officials said the injuries were not life-threatening.
The remaining people involved in the crash stayed at the scene for evaluation. Emergency crews checked them for injuries, but none of those individuals reported being hurt. Several vehicles sustained damage as a result of the crash.
Authorities did not release details about how the crash occurred or what led to the involvement of five vehicles. The cause of the crash remains unclear as investigators continue to gather information.
Our thoughts remain with the injured individual as they receive care and recover.
Multi-Vehicle Crashes on East Tennessee Interstates
Multi-vehicle crashes on East Tennessee interstates often lead to injuries because of higher speeds and limited reaction time. When several vehicles travel close together, one sudden stop or change can quickly involve multiple drivers. These chain-reaction crashes can cause significant force even when drivers attempt to slow down.
Injury patterns in multi-vehicle crashes often include neck strain, back injuries, broken bones, and bruising. People trapped inside vehicles may also face additional risks due to impact forces. Some injuries may not appear right away, which makes medical evaluation important even when pain feels manageable at first.
Depending on the details of the crash, injured individuals may be able to seek compensation related to their injuries. This can include medical expenses, follow-up care, lost income during recovery, or other accident-related costs.
A qualified car accident lawyer can explain what types of compensation may be available and how claims are typically reviewed based on the situation.
