Posted by Local Accidents | Nov 27, 2025 | 0 Comments

Knox County, TN (November 27, 2025) - A deadly two-car crash in South Knox County claimed at least one life on Wednesday afternoon, November 26. The Rural Metro Fire crews responded to the wreck in the 7600 block of Neubert Springs Road at about 5:30 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found two vehicles with serious damage and multiple people in need of help.

Officials said one person died at the scene. Rural Metro did not release the victim's name. Two other people suffered injuries that responders described as minor. Paramedics treated them and transported them to a hospital for further care. The fire department did not confirm their ages or conditions.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office took over the scene and began a full investigation. Deputies examined the roadway, documented evidence, and spoke with witnesses. Rural Metro expected the road to remain closed for an extended time while investigators worked.

Authorities have not shared what caused the collision, and they confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the person's loved ones, and we hope those injured recover fully.

Fatal Two-Car Accident on Neubert Springs Rd

Fatal crashes leave families facing sudden grief and financial stress. Even when surviving victims suffer minor injuries, the fallout can still affect every part of life. Medical care, missed work, and emotional trauma often follow a serious wreck. In cases involving a death, a wrongful death claim may help families seek accountability and support.

Depending on the facts of the crash, victims and families may pursue compensation for:

  • Emergency medical care, hospital stays, and follow-up treatment
  • Physical therapy, rehabilitation, and future medical needs
  • Lost wages during recovery and reduced earning ability
  • Pain and suffering are tied to physical injuries
  • Emotional distress and trauma after the collision
  • Funeral and burial expenses for the person who passed away
  • Loss of financial support that the victim would have provided
  • Loss of companionship, care, and guidance for surviving family members
  • Property damage, including vehicle repair or replacement costs
  • Out-of-pocket expenses, such as travel for medical visits or home assistance

Insurance companies often move quickly after a fatal crash. They may push families to settle before the full impact is clear. A Knoxville wrongful death lawyer can gather evidence, review reports, and handle those calls while families focus on healing. Timing matters too, because Tennessee law sets deadlines for injury and death claims.
