Knoxville, TN (September 28, 2025) – A deadly collision occurred Friday evening, September 26, on Western Avenue near Sullivan Road, leaving one driver dead and two others injured.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, the crash took place shortly after 6:00 p.m. when a vehicle crossed the center turn lane and entered oncoming traffic. The car then collided head-on with another vehicle.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to assist those involved. The driver of the vehicle that crossed into opposing lanes was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where they later died from their injuries. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity.
