Knoxville, TN (December 22, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle crash left two people critically injured on Sunday, December 21, at a busy Knoxville intersection. The collision occurred around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Kingston Pike and Northshore Drive and involved a Knoxville Police Department officer, according to officials.

The Knoxville Police Department reported that the crash involved a police vehicle and two other vehicles. Two occupants inside one of the civilian vehicles suffered critical injuries. Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported both injured individuals to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Officials confirmed that the police officer involved in the crash was not responding to a call at the time of the collision and was not using emergency lights or sirens.
