Knoxville, TN (May 15, 2025) – A serious head-on collision took place Monday evening in Knoxville, leaving four individuals hospitalized. The incident unfolded around 7:45 p.m. on May 12 after a Nissan Altima fled from a traffic stop initiated by the Knoxville Police Department.
Officers originally attempted to pull over the Nissan after it allegedly ran a red light. Behind the wheel was 35-year-old Bryant Page, accompanied by 33-year-old Dyshawn McNeil and a third unidentified passenger. While the officer returned to his patrol vehicle to call for backup, the Nissan sped away down Holston Drive.
Moments later, the Nissan collided head-on with a Toyota Sequoia near Ault Road. Emergency personnel responded immediately. Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles. All four people involved in the crash were transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. Fortunately, reports indicate they are expected to recover.
Following the crash, authorities searched the Nissan and discovered two loaded firearms inside. Investigators determined that both Page and McNeil were previously convicted felons. Page now faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, evading arrest, and illegal possession of a weapon. McNeil was also charged with weapon possession. Authorities have not released the name of the third passenger, and the investigation is ongoing.
We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.
Car Accidents in Tennessee

Tennessee continues to see a concerning number of car accidents each year. According to the state's Department of Safety, thousands of collisions result in injuries annually across both urban and rural areas. Human error and risky driving behavior are leading causes of many of these incidents, which often leave long-term impacts on the lives of those involved.
When it comes to accidents caused by fleeing suspects, there are some important facts to keep in mind:
- Fleeing Drivers Often Escalate Risk: When someone attempts to evade law enforcement, they tend to drive at excessive speeds or make reckless maneuvers. This not only endangers them but also innocent drivers nearby. Crashes involving fleeing suspects often result in higher injury rates.
- Law Enforcement Pursuit Policies Vary: Depending on the circumstances, officers may choose not to pursue a vehicle to avoid endangering the public. However, the suspect's decision to flee can still have severe consequences.
- Felonious Behavior Increases Legal Complexity: If individuals involved in a crash are found in possession of weapons or have prior convictions, this can complicate the legal process significantly and add weight to the charges they face.
- Innocent Drivers Often Suffer the Most: Victims of crashes involving fleeing suspects may face long recovery periods. Medical costs, vehicle damage, and emotional trauma can weigh heavily on those not at fault.
- Recovery Takes Time and Resources: The aftermath of such crashes is not just physical. Many victims need extended rehabilitation or emotional counseling to move forward from the shock and injuries.
