Knoxville, TN (October 17, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian accident early Thursday morning, October 16, claimed the life of a woman who was struck by a vehicle on North Broadway near Walker Boulevard.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:40 a.m. when the woman stepped into the roadway and was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The driver stated that he did not see the woman in time to stop, but immediately pulled over and provided aid until emergency responders arrived.

Paramedics transported the victim to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
