Orlinda, TN (November 12, 2025) – Two people sustained serious injuries on Tuesday morning, November 11, after a violent collision between a sedan and a pickup truck towing a trailer near Interstate 65 in Orlinda.
According to local reports, the crash occurred just before noon on Highway 52, directly in front of the I-65 on-ramp. Authorities said the pickup truck rolled after colliding with the sedan, ejecting the male driver from the vehicle. Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided medical treatment at the scene before transporting both drivers to nearby hospitals.
Officials confirmed that the man driving the truck and the woman operating the sedan suffered serious injuries but are expected to recover. Crews from multiple agencies, including the Orlinda Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, worked together to assist victims and manage the scene.
Highway 52 was temporarily closed due to heavy debris and overturned vehicles, causing significant traffic delays in the area. Law enforcement reopened the roadway later in the afternoon after clearing the scene and completing an initial investigation.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the collision and has not yet released further details on what led to the crash.
We wish both injured drivers a full and speedy recovery.
Truck Accidents in Tennessee
Accidents involving pickup trucks and other commercial vehicles often lead to devastating injuries, especially when trailers or cargo are involved. Collisions like the recent one in Orlinda can happen suddenly and with immense force, leaving victims with lasting physical and emotional trauma.
Many truck accidents occur for preventable reasons, such as:
- Driver fatigue: Long hours behind the wheel can cause slower reaction times and poor decision-making.
- Distracted driving: Using a phone, eating, or adjusting a GPS can divert attention from the road at critical moments.
- Improperly loaded trailers: When cargo isn't balanced correctly, it can cause trucks to tip, jackknife, or lose control.
- Speeding or reckless driving: Large vehicles need longer stopping distances, and excessive speed can make collisions catastrophic.
- Mechanical failures: Brake malfunctions, worn tires, or steering problems increase the likelihood of rollovers or rear-end crashes.
Victims of truck-related crashes often face long recoveries, expensive medical bills, and time away from work. Working with a knowledgeable truck accident attorney ensures that victims understand their rights and receive fair compensation for their injuries, pain, and suffering.
A skilled lawyer can investigate the crash, gather witness statements, analyze vehicle damage, and negotiate with insurance companies to hold negligent drivers accountable.
