Williamson County, TN (October 11, 2025) – A 22-year-old man lost his life in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on October 9 on Interstate 840 in Williamson County, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).

Preliminary findings indicate that a motorcycle, a Ford Transit van, and a Ford Explorer were all traveling eastbound on I-840 near mile marker 42 when the van slowed due to traffic conditions. The motorcyclist was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of the van.

After the impact, both the motorcycle and its rider came to rest in the left lane, where they were struck by an oncoming Ford Explorer. The impact caused the motorcycle to be dragged a short distance before both vehicles came to a stop.

THP confirmed that the motorcyclist, identified as a 22-year-old Tennessee resident, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Officials noted that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. No additional injuries were reported, and investigators stated that no charges have been filed as of this time.
